Kathy Palomino


Kathy Palomino is a first generation college student studying Sociology. She is getting certificates in Latin American Studies and Gender and Sexuality Studies. She was born and raised in Nashville, TN where her parents immigrated to from Mexico. She enjoys reading about the intersection of gender and race/ethnicity in fiction and nonfiction. She is a head fellow with the Scholars Institute Fellows Program on campus where she acts as a mentor to other first generation and or low-income underclassmen. One of her favorite weekend activities is finding farmers' markets to support local farmers and small businesses.
