
Juan Antonio Le Clercq (Ph.D. Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) is dean of the School of Social Sciences and professor and researcher at the Department of International Relations and Political Science, Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP), Mexico. He is a member of the Nations System of Researchers (SNI), Level 1 and coordinates the Global Impunity Index Project at UDLAP. His main research interests are institutional analysis and change, environmental governance and climate change, rule of law and the problem of impunity, contemporary political theory, environmental justice and green criminology. Le Clercq’s experience in public office includes chief of advisers, foreign relations secretary (2004-2006), communication analysis and strategy coordinator, presidency of the republic (2002-2003), analysis and strategy coordinator, commission for peace in Chiapas, and secretary of interior (2001-2002). While at Princeton he will work on a research project on environmental impunity and injustice.
