Jack Thompson is a concentrator in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, pursuing Portuguese and politics, and a PLAS Brazilian Studies track certificate student. He is also pursuing a certificate in History and the Practice of Diplomacy. He participated in the 2019 Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies "Becoming Brazil" Global Seminar program in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and more recently interned with a research group at the Universidade Federal Fluminense in Niterói, Brazil, as part of the Princeton International Internship Program. He is currently writing his first junior paper about the relationship between Brazilian militias and politics.
