Bio/Description

Charmaine Branch, Ph.D. Student, Princeton University, Art & Archaeology 

 

Charmaine Branch studies modern and contemporary art of the African Diaspora with an emphasis on transnational artist networks in the Caribbean. She holds an M.A. in Modern Art: Critical and Curatorial Studies from Columbia University and a B.A. in Art History from Vassar College. Previously, Charmaine worked as a joint Curatorial Fellow at The Studio Museum in Harlem and the Museum of Modern Art where she assisted with multiple exhibitions, publications, and public programs. During the 2020-2021 academic year she was a McCrindle Curatorial Intern at the Princeton University Art Museum. Charmaine also received the President’s Fellowship for graduate studies in 2019.
