On September 24th, the Program of Latin American Studies held a welcome reception to start the 2019-2020 academic year. During the reception, we introduced our new Visiting Scholars, Postgraduate Fellows, and Graduate Fellows. Our Visiting Scholars include Arturo Alvarado (El Colegio de México), Arturo Arias (University of California, Merced), Marcelo Medeiros (University of Brasilia/Brazilian Institute for Applied Economic Research), and Adriana Rodriguez Persico (National University of Tres de Febrero/CONICET). Our newest additions of Postgraduate Fellows include Bridgette Werner and Noa Corcoran-Tadd. They will be joining Ben Gerlofs and Ryan Edwards. Our cohort of Graduate Fellows for this year include Elis Mendoza (Architecture) and Patrick Signoret (Politics). Thank you to all of the faculty, students and staff who helped us give them a warm welcome!
